PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA – With Milan Škoda sick and Muris Mešanovič injured, the Dutch forward Mick van Buren suddenly became number one for Jaroslav Šilhavý’s starting 11. And his effort started to pay off in the game against Mladá Boleslav. MVB scored his maiden goal in the Czech league and it was not his last word.

PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA - The silence of our strikers is over. After long 356 minutes Mick van Buren started a cannonade against Mladá Boleslav which ended in 4-0 win. Eduard Sobol also scored his maiden goal in Slavia just ten minutes after he came from the bench.

PRAGUE/EDEN - "The most important game of autumn season" is ahead Slavia on Wednesday evening according to manager Jaroslav Šilhavý. But with the help of sold-out stadium Slavia still believe. "The 0-2 result isn’t good but it is nothing we could not overcome," Šilhavý says.

Miroslav Stoch: Not a good result, but nothing is lost

NICOSIA – Just few hours after his name was added to the line-up, Miroslav Stoch listened to the UCL anthem at GSP stadium in Nicosia. His very first game for Slavia was, however, far from ideal. Despite his effort, the red & whites lost 0-2 to APOEL and made their way into the UEFA Champions League much more difficult.

NICOSIA/GSP STADIUM - Slavia lost 0-2 to APOEL in their first leg of Champions League Play-off in Nicosia and the black scenario from prevous game in Barysaw was repeated again. The red & whites conceded two goals in opening ten minutes and the second leg will be extremely complicated.

Stoch: I came to help to defend the title

PRAGUE – Just a few minutes after a victorious game with Jihlava, Slavia introduced their new reinforcement. Slovak midfielder Miroslav Stoch is coming from Fenerbahce signing 2 year deal. “I have been following Czech league carefully. It has always been close to me,” Stoch said during a press conference.

PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA – Slavia players succeeded in their last league game before the first leg of Champions League Play-off with APOEL. Thanks to Hušbauer’s penalty kick and Danny’s first goal in red-and-white, the sewn ones defeated Jihlava 2-0.

Eduard Sobol coming on loan from Shakhtar

PRAGUE – Ukrainian left-back Eduard Sobol is coming to Slavia on 1-year loan from Shakhtar Donetsk. 22-year-old Sobol, who has four caps for Ukrainian senior national team, spent the last season on loan in Zorya Luhansk.

APOEL tickets SOLD-OUT

OSTRAVA/CITY STADIUM – Slavia came to Ostrava to face Baník – the runners-up of last season’s Football National League (2nd tier). Despite several chances and two disallowed goals – one on both sides – the sold-out City Stadium did not see any goal. Baník 0-0 Slavia.
