Getting stronger. Mingazov and van Buren join Slavia

PRAGUE - Slavia keep on strengthening the team and two newest members joined the squad before the second friendly match with Slovakian MFK Ružomberok. Mingazov and van Buren both signed a contract until 30 June 2019.

Ruslan Mingazov (23. 11. 1991)

The Turkmen midfielder in no newbie in the Czech league as he played two previous campaigns for Jablonec scoring 10 goals in Synot liga. Starting his career in FC Aºgabat the son of a footballer and coach Kamil Mingazov had soon followed his father’s footsteps. Sixty matches in domestic league before he turned eighteen and transferred to Latvia convinced the national team coach to offer him a spot in Turkmen national team. Mingazov helped Sconto Riga to become champions in 2010, to win the Baltic league in 2011 and the Latvian cup in 2012. He was also awarded the best player of 2013/2014 campaign. The future coach of Jablonec Šilhavý had seen his skills in Europa league qualifiers first hand and asked him to transfer in summer 2014.



Mick van Buren (14. 8. 1992)

The Dutch striker transfers from the Danish first league. Raised by Rotterdam’s SBV Excelsior, van Buren joined the first team in 2011 and could gain experience in Eredivisie. His club, however, relegated and the young striker shone in the following campaign. He shot thirteen goals in the second league catching the eye of Danish Esbjerg fB. The twenty-three-year-old striker has also experienced the atmosphere of the Europa league reaching the round of 32 and scoring 4 goals.

Victory Over Karviná. Vorlický Hits Two Deciders

In the eighth round, Slavia beat Karviná 3-1 at Fortuna Arena and got ready for Wednesday´s opening Champions League home game against Bodo/Glimt. Mojmír Chytil opened the scoring again, and Lukáš Vorlický responded to the visitors´ equalizer with his first goals for the A-team. All this took place in front of 19,309 spectators.
