Slavia ladies reach the Champions League quarter finals

PERM - The ladies of Slavia seem to be unstoppable as they continue their European journey. The goalless draw in Russia secured them a place in the last eight for the first time in history.
Not even the temperature which was deep below zero could stop Slavia from making their dream come true as they wished to participate in the spring matches of Champions League. With a thorough defence in the second half the Czech champions made the last eight.

Slavia Cruise Past Zlín to Reach Cup Quarter-Finals

Slavia made light work of their MOL Cup Round of 16 clash away at Zlín, securing a dominant 4–0 victory. The Reds decided the game already in the first half, when Mojmír Chytil opened the scoring. After the break, Lukáš Provod and youngster Tomáš Jelínek — who netted his first-ever senior goal — added insurance strikes, before Michal Sadílek sealed the win late on.

In the third round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague held Atalanta to a 0–0 draw in Bergamo. The hero of the match was Jakub Markovič, who made at least four phenomenal saves on his Champions League debut. The “Red-and-Whites” picked up their second point in the group standings.

In the second round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague were defeated 0–3 away to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Jindřich Staněk was beaten twice by Lautaro Martínez, a veteran of the sides’ memorable 1–1 draw six years ago, while Denzel Dumfries added a third for the hosts.
