Like father, like sons! Danny´s sons win games for Slavia

The third edition of Slavia International Cup is over. The red & whites under 14 team finished 9th but our players surely showed the best action of the tournament. Bernardo and Francisco Gomes scored a tremendous goal against Beijing Guoan.
Bernardo Gomes and Francisco Gomes. You probably haven´t heard of them so far but you should definitely keep an eye on them for the future. Both sons of former Zenit St. Petersburg, Sporting or Portugal star Danny play for Slavia under 14 and both belonged to the best players on recent Slavia International Cup 2018.

Their combination and Bernardo´s goal secured a 1-0 victory over Chinese team Beijing Guoan. Slavia finished 9th out of 12 participants. Spanish side Málaga CF retained the title befor Hungarian Puskás Akadémia and Ukrainian Karpaty Lviv.

"It was a beautiful action, I am glad for the goal and for the combination as well. I have been watching the game on Eden training grounds personally and I celebreated the goal immediately," Danny said after the tournament.

" When I see boys in the game I always try to tell them what was wrong and what - in contrary - they did well. I try to explain it to them and give them advice as a father and as a professional player. I am proud father and they are both my idols," Portuguese midfielder added.

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.

Slavia won 5–3 at Štruncovy Sady in the 15th round of the Chance Liga. Tomáš Chorý scored twice, Youssoupha Sanyang netted his first league goal, and Štěpán Chaloupek and Christos Zafeiris were also on target. The Red-Whites lead the domestic competition by two points heading into the international break.

Penalty, Early Second-Half Goal, and Defeat to Arsenal

Slavia fell 0–3 to Arsenal at Eden Arena in the 4th round of the Champions League league phase. The Premier League leaders took the lead through Saka’s converted penalty, Merino doubled the advantage in the first minute of the second half, and the same player later sealed the final score. A penalty initially awarded to Slavia was overturned by the referee after consulting VAR.
