Mladá Boleslav - Slavia
Goals: 18. Kušej – 32. Zafeiris
Slavia drew 1-1 in Mladá Boleslav. Christos Zafeiris scored his first goal for the Red-Whites.
Four days after the Cup thriller against Bohemians Slavia started into another league game in Mladá Boleslav. Taras Kacharaba replaced Igoh Ogbu who suffered a head injury in the Bohemians game as centre-back.

With 18 minutes on the clock the home side took lead. A clearance by Jurásek was interrupted by Ladra, the Boleslav midfielder passed the ball to Vasil Kušej who cut inside and curled it behind Kolář from outside the box. 1-0.

Seven minutes later the Red-Whites created their first chance to equalize. Long ball rebounded to Masopust on the right side and our midfielder sent a dangerous cross into the box, but Jurečka did not reach the ball and it missed the far post.

Slavia thus equalized after 32 minutes when Christos Zafeiris started the action on the left wing with a clever backheel pass and Oscar returned him the ball. The Norwegian midfielder then went past three players on the edge of the box, his initial shot was blocked, but the ball rebounded back to him, and he sent it into the net. It was Zafeiris’ maiden goal for the Red-Whites. 1-1.

Second half started with Slavia pressure and in the 55th minute Jurečka could score second for the guests, but his low shot sfter Zafeiris’ clever pass was saved by Šeda. Two minutes later Jurečka was again denied by Šeda on the left post after Lingr’s cross.

After an hour Mick van Buren and Matěj Jurásek came on the pitch replacing Tecl and Jurečka and Slavia pressure increased. In the 62nd minute a dangerous effort by Provod flew over the crossbar.

In the 82nd minute after another beautiful combination Lukáš Masopust set up Ivan Schranz in front of the goal and our forward found the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed due to a narrow offside.

Slavia failed to score in the rest of the second half despite several set pieces and drew 1-1 away in Mladá Boleslav.
