Dukla Praha - Slavia
Goals: 10. Sýkora, 90. Stoch
Slavia take 3 points at Dukla and remain unbeaten in mutual games. Moreover, the red & whites are now 4 points behind Plzeň in the league table with two games to go.
The red & whites appeared with the same line-up as in the successful MOL Cup final on Wednesday with Stanislav Tecl as a lone striker. And the first chance came quickly when Hušbauer passed to ball to the left side on Sýkora and his shot was blocked by Dukla defender Jiránek just five minutes into the game.

After another five minutes Slavia could celebrate though. Souček sent a long ball to Bořil on the left wing, our left-back passed the ball through the entire penalty are and Jan Sýkora fired it through goalkeeper Rada on the far post.

The game was equal then with hints of chances on both sides, but Slavia defence managed to put a brake on all the Dukla attacks and on the other side our offensive players missed just one step after several sharp crosses through the box.

After the break Tomáš Souček appeared in the first chance but his header after Stoch’s cross was blocked by one of the defenders. Miroslav Stoch himself could execute a free kick from 25 meters few minutes later but his low shot was blocked by Dukla defence. On the other side Ivan Schranz outmuscled Jugas on the brink of the box and fired a dangerous cross-shot, but Kolář saved the ball easily.

Dukla then created their biggest chance after a high cross but Jakub Podaný left alone inside the box fired his volley just to the legs of Michal Frydrych.

After 69 minutes Jan Sýkora again performed a beautiful bicycle kick but fired the ball about a meter over the crossbar. Just a while later Škoda – who replaced Tecl on the pitch – headed the ball after Hušbauer’s cross, but Ngadeu was denied by Rada with his rebound.

The only goal of the second half was then scored by Miroslav Stoch in the added time when Dukla opened their defence in a bid to equalize. Stoch latched onto a pass by Danny, went through half of the pitch with the ball and fired his shot precisely on the left post from the brink of the box.

Slavia thus defeated Dukla 2-0 on Juliska stadium. The sewn-ones play their next game home in Eden Arena on Saturday, 19 May, at 5 pm. Our opponent will be Jablonec who currently stand fourth in the league table.
