Romanian League star Alexandru Baluta reinforces Slavia

24-year old Romanian midfielder Alexandru Baluta is the first foreign signing of Slavia in the summer break. Baluta scored 17 goals and added 6 assists in the last season. He signed contract till 30th June 2022.
Alexandru Baluta was one of the most distinctive players of Romanian top competition. As a captain he led his club CS Universitatea Craiova to the 3rd place in the league and to the triumph in Romanian cup. Baluta scored 17 goals in 37 games and added 6 assists. He has also 4 caps for the Romanian national team. 24-year old midfielder transfers to Slavia for a fee of 2,65 mil. Euro, which makes him the most expensive signing in the club’s history.

Baluta will wear shirt with no 20. “I had number 10 in Craiova and in Slavia I took 20 because I want to increase my performance twofold. I believe the number brings me luck,”
Baluta said.

“I am happy to be in such club as Slavia. I was watching their football and I hoped the transfer would be completed. I wored hard to be here and I came to win the title again,” Romanian international added.
