Slavia players in national teams

Several Slavia players leave for international duty during the following week. Have a quick look, where to expect the red-whites.

Czech Republic

There were Jaromír Zmrhal, Tomáš Souček and Josef Hušbauer in the initial nomination of the new Czech national team manager (and former Slavia coach) Jaroslav Šilhavý. Josef Hušbauer eventually does not travel for the games of UEFA Nations League because of the back injury. In late nomination, defenders Ondřej Kúdela and Vladimír Coufal joined the squad.

Cameroon

Two games of Africa Cup of Nations qualification for Cameroon against Malawi are ahead of our defender Michael Ngadeu, who captained the Indomitable Lions in last game against Comoros.

Czech Republic U21

Four Slavia players were called to Czech U21 national team for the final part of EURO U21 qualification. The “Lion Cubs” play against Belorussia and Moldavia. Jan Matoušek is the only player who is part of Slavia first team as well, the other three – Matěj Chaluš, Jan Kuchta a Daniel Trubač – are currently playing on loan.

Slovakia U21

Slavia goalkeeper Martin Vantruba was called to the Slovak U21 national team. He will take part in games against Estonia home and Northern Ireland away.

Azerbaijan U21

The last game of European qualification lies ahead of Azerbaijani U21 national team which travels to Norway. Slavia U21 winger/forward Farid Nabiyev is part of the squad.
