Europa League squad confirmed

Slavia released their squad for UEFA Europa League Group Stage consisting of 22 players.

There are 22 names (including 3 goalkeepers) on the UEL squad list for the 2020/21 Group Stage. The list could consist from up to 25 names including 4 players raised in the club, but only Jan Kuchta currently comply with these criteria.

Only few changes were made in compare to the squad list for UCl Play-off. Vladimír Coufal - who left for West Ham - was replaced by Ondřej Karafiát in the defence line. Abdallah Sima is another player who was added. 19-year old Senegali forward plays regularly for Slavia reserves and made his first team debut a week ago in the 5^th round of Fortuna liga against Slovácko.

Slavia starts the UEFA Europa League away in Beer Sheva on 22 October.

Slavia made light work of their MOL Cup Round of 16 clash away at Zlín, securing a dominant 4–0 victory. The Reds decided the game already in the first half, when Mojmír Chytil opened the scoring. After the break, Lukáš Provod and youngster Tomáš Jelínek — who netted his first-ever senior goal — added insurance strikes, before Michal Sadílek sealed the win late on.

In the third round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague held Atalanta to a 0–0 draw in Bergamo. The hero of the match was Jakub Markovič, who made at least four phenomenal saves on his Champions League debut. The “Red-and-Whites” picked up their second point in the group standings.
