After almost five years in red-white and two league titles our defender Simon Deli decided to move to Belgium.
Simon Deli signed for Slavia on 15 January 2015 and started thus story of one of the best defenders of independent Czech league. In the first season Deli helped Slavia to avoid relegation fight (the club finished 11th) and with the new owner he led Slavia into one of our most successful eras. Europa League qualifiers in 2016 and later to two Czech titles (2017 and 2019) and two Czech Cup triumphs (2018 and 2019).

In 2018/19 season Simon Deli was one of the key players in successful Europa League campaign in which Slavia reached the quarter-finals. In the last home game against Chelsea FC he even started as Slavia captain. During his 4,5 years in the club Deli became one of the biggest favourites of Slavia fans. In 128 competitive games he scored 3 goals and added 7 assists, but what is more important, as centre-back he was awarded only 11 yellow cards, zero bookings in the last 2018/19 season (Czech League, Czech Cup and UEFA Europa League combined)!

“Five unforgettable years by your side. There are things in your life you will never forget, and we will forever by a family. Thank you for making me the man I am. Slavia and their fans will be forever in my heart. I will never stop praising you for the strength you were giving me to defend those colours.
