Slavia played several international games against clubs from Israel. Our last opponents were Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2017/18 Europa League.

The red and whites met their first Israeli opponent after 1990 as the country was not part of UEFA earlier. Since 1992 we have played 7 games against clubs from Israel, most recently in 2017/18 UEFA Europa League against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Slavia won all 7 games and conceded only 4 goals.

Slavia met Maccabi twice in Group A of 2017/18 UEFA Europa League. The red and whites won the opening game of the group 1-0 home thanks to Tomáš Necid goal, Josef Hušbauer then scored twice away to secure the 2-0 win for Slavia. His first stunner from behind the box has been voted the best Czech goal of 2017. Slavia lost their last game to Astana, finished 3rd and were eliminated. Maccabi finished 4th.

In the eighth round, Slavia beat Karviná 3-1 at Fortuna Arena and got ready for Wednesday´s opening Champions League home game against Bodo/Glimt.
