Ladies drew with Wolfsburg in UWCL farewell

Slavia Ladies confirmed their good performances on the home soil. Despite being eliminated from the UEFA Women´s Champions League they drew 1-1 with VfL Wolfsburg and did not loose in Eden Arena in 7th consecutive UWCL game.
Following the 0-5 first leg in Wolfsburg, Slavia Ladies started much better in Prague and did not allow the German side any big chance.

On the other side, Divišová fired her first attempt after 12 minutes over the crossbar.

From the following chance Slavia already opened the score. At 30 minutes Svitková sent a precise pass to Petra Divišová who sent the ball into the net with help of right post.

Wolfsburg could equalize in the last minutes of the first half, but Jakabfi only hit crossbar. Szewieczkova´s technical shot could double Slavia lead, but missed the target close just a minute later.

Wolfsburg improved their performance in the second half and put a pressure to Slavia, leaving the home side waiting for a quick-break opportunity.

At 67th minute Jessen could score with her volley shot after Kožárová´s cross but her shot was blocked by one of the Wolfsburg defenders. Just a minute later Pajor equalized following Wolfsburg counter-attack.

Ten minutes before the final whistle Wolfsburg hit the post after a deflected cross. Slavia thus kept the 1-1 draw, but was eliminated after the 1-6 aggregate result.

In the second round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague were defeated 0–3 away to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Jindřich Staněk was beaten twice by Lautaro Martínez, a veteran of the sides’ memorable 1–1 draw six years ago, while Denzel Dumfries added a third for the hosts.
