ALL STARS CUP 2016 is coming

PRAGUE - The eighth year of the All Stars Cup will take place in Eden training area on 17-19 June. Slavia will face teams from Portugal, Mexico, Denmark, Turkey or Belarus.
The All Stars Cup is an international youth football tournament, having been held on the soil of Czech Republic since 2009. This is a prestigious event attended by top local and foreign clubs as well, profiting from its background being developed very carefully. It is organized by sports and marketing agency All Stars Team, in cooperation with football clubs SK Slavia Praha and Bohemians Praha 1905. Strategic partners are City Quarter Prague 10, Prague City Hall as well as the Football Association of the Czech Republic.

The All Stars Cup is especially aimed to enable refreshing match experience among Czech and foreign teams of youth age. However, not only sports aspects but also the importance of having good relationships and wide international contacts are taken into consideration. It regularly brings football quality and pleasant atmosphere, which represents the most appreciated finishing of each youth season. This fact is underlined by positive acceptances from the side of all participating teams and, in addition, by an undisputed sports and organizational success of all editions having been played up to now.

This year´s tournament is designed for players born in 2000 and Slavia wish to defend their last year´s victory.

A valuable draw! Debutant Markovič shines against Atalanta

In the third round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague held Atalanta to a 0–0 draw in Bergamo. The hero of the match was Jakub Markovič, who made at least four phenomenal saves on his Champions League debut. The “Red-and-Whites” picked up their second point in the group standings.

In the second round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague were defeated 0–3 away to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Jindřich Staněk was beaten twice by Lautaro Martínez, a veteran of the sides’ memorable 1–1 draw six years ago, while Denzel Dumfries added a third for the hosts.

Draw 2-2 in the UCL opener against Bodo. Mbodji strikes two

Slavia kicked off their Champions League group stage campaign with a 2–2 draw against Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt. Jindřich Trpišovský’s side led by two goals — both scored by Youssoupha Mbodji — but the visitors managed to equalize late in the game. Goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk also made a crucial save from the penalty spot while the score was 1–0.
