Abdulhakeem Al-Tuwaijri moves to the first team

Current Slavia reserves assistant coach will connect the B-team and the first team in his new role.

Head coach of Saudi scholarship team in Spain Future Falcons, who worked for Slavia reserves in the autumn part of 2022/23 season, will join the Slavia first team as one of the assistant coaches. He will oversee the cooperation between Slavia reserves and the first team.

“Abdulhakeem is an important figure for football in the Arab world and we are glad we can deepen our cooperation with this move. I believe that after five months with the reserves, joining the coaching staff of Jindřich Trpišovský can bring him new findings and that other coaches can also benefit from his experience. During his stay with the reserves, he showed that he has a lot to offer to the club,” says Slavia Director of Sport Jiří Bílek.

“Being here and working here for the first stage of the season was an amazing experience. Now I want to express my appreciation and thank everyone in the club for their support to reach this position. I am very grateful, and I am looking forward for the next challenge,” Al-Tuwaijri said on Monday.

“I believe I can get further experience working with the great coaches we have in Slavia. And I believe I can share my experience too. It is a win-win situation. I believe that together we can succeed,” the coach with experience from England and Spain added.

Abdulhakeem Al-Tuwaijri was a sports director and member of board of a Saudi Arabian first-division club Ettifaq FC, later in the same club he also became assistant coach and the youth coach. He studied for the professional licence in England, in 2019 he became head coach of a scholarship team for Saudi players in Spain.
