Stay Strong Wuhan

Before the game against Opava Slavia expressed their solidarity with Wuhan medical staff currently fighting coronavirus.

Before the home game against Opava in round 22 of Czech FORTUNA:LIGA Slavia players declared support to all medical staff in Wuhan currently fighting coronavirus. The banner and special t-shirts sent a simple message to all people who help to prevent the virus from spreading risking their own lives. “Stay Strong Wuhan”!

Together with Czech-Chinese Chamber Slavia sent medical supplies to the epicentre of the infection for more than 5 million CZK.

A valuable draw! Debutant Markovič shines against Atalanta

In the second round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague were defeated 0–3 away to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Jindřich Staněk was beaten twice by Lautaro Martínez, a veteran of the sides’ memorable 1–1 draw six years ago, while Denzel Dumfries added a third for the hosts.

Slavia kicked off their Champions League group stage campaign with a 2–2 draw against Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt. Jindřich Trpišovský’s side led by two goals — both scored by Youssoupha Mbodji — but the visitors managed to equalize late in the game. Goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk also made a crucial save from the penalty spot while the score was 1–0.
