The game for six points, boss says before Plzeň

Slavia will face Viktoria Plzeň in the 28th round of FORTUNA:LIGA on Sunday. Viktoria are second in the league table, 8 points behind the red and whites.

The game of the table leader against the second team will take place at Sinobo Stadium on Sunday, 7 June. KO is at 7 pm, the game will be played behind closed doors and broadcasted live by O2 TV Sport.

“We are looking forward for such a big game. We hade a long break followed by three successful games and now very important match is ahead of us. It is a pity there will be no fans on the stands, the atmosphere would be fantastic as usual. The support of our fans is important for us in this time,” Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský said.

Slavia are 8 points ahead of Viktoria with 3 games left from the regular season. In case the red and white will lose, Plzeň will reduce the gap to 5 points only. “Every single game is now important. We must focus on our own game and take three points every time. This game is naturally more important, we can get de facto six points. We all know that this could be one big step towards our goal,” boss added.

Viktoria won all 6 games under the new manager Adrian Guľa and scored 11 goals in last 3 games since the league restarted. “Plzeň started great. The play very high and from the league restart also very dominant. They had more than 800 passes last game, that is something I have probably never seen in Czech league. They allow their opponent very few chances. Their style of play has always been dominant, but now they added more running. They seemed to play in great style and deserved the results from last league rounds,” Trpišovský said about our opponent.
