Van Buren: Fantastic performance from the team

PRAGUE/EDEN - "Van Buren´s night" as captain Milan Škoda calls it. Slavia beat OGC Nice 4:1, Mick van Buren scoring two and Danny playing his first game home in Eden. Watch their reractions.

Van Buren: Victory means confidence

“I don’t know if the game was really just mine. I have made an assist and two goals so you can maybe say so. But above all it was fantastic performance from the whole team especially in the second half,” van Buren says.

“It was not only about assist and goals, but also about a good play. I felt quite confident on the pitch and I think that it was my best game in Slavia,”

“The victory means confidence and it is very good for us. We have also beaten West Bromwich, drew with Krasnodar and I think we have been playing good. So this gives us some confidence,” van Buren concluded.

Danny: Fantastic atmosphere

“I am happy because we did what we were asked for. The atmosphere was amazing, the pitch is good and the stadium very nice. So I am happy that I could play my first game here and that we could get the victory,” says Danny who created several chances for his colleagues during the first half.

“We did not score in the first half but we had a lot of chances. In the second half we scored from the chances. It is the only difference between the periods. Have we scored in the first half we would win it as well because we were playing better,” Portuguese midfielder added.

“We are happy for this game because everybody gave a hundred percent. This is the most important. But everybody knows that we must win the play-off to qualify for the Champions League,” Danny promises.
