We must hold our heads high, Trpišovský rouses

Slavia meet Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League qualifier – the opponent with great European experience and big names in the squad. “We know which club we are facing. But we need to hold our heads high,” says manager Jindřich Trpišovský.
Dynamo has great European experience, nor Slavia and their players and coaching staff miss some. “It’s good to have some experience, European games are specific,” said Jindřich Trpišovský, who has qualified for Europa League in previous seasons as manager of Slovan Liberec. “You meet different styles, games use to be nervous, especially the opening home matches are tactically hampered. Details will decide, both opponents are prepared on each other’s play. On the other hand, in European competitions teams often prefer their own style of play and do not focus on the opponent so much. That’s different in compare to the Czech league,” Trpišovský added.

“We know that the game with Dynamo is a big day for all Slavia fans. The stadium will be sold-out, the demand was great. It can help us a lot, people fill push us forward, the atmosphere will be great. There is a great strength in this atmosphere. We need to do our best to be successful. We know that there is a lot of people we would make happy,” Slavia manager continued.

“Dynamo are favourites, we know which club we are facing. They did not miss in the group stage of European competitions for some ten years, seven times they qualified for the knock-out phase. But we don’t want to be afraid, we want to play our football. Activity is the key, we want our opponent to make mistakes. We must hold our heads high, people will help us,” Trpišovský concluded.
