First spring victory. Chory decided the match against Boleslav
For the first time since June 26, when he played for the Czech national team at EURO 2024 against Turkey, Jindrich Stanek returned to goal in a competitive match. Also back in the starting lineup was Lukas Provod, who had missed the games against PAOK and Malmo due to injury.
Slavia started actively, with Mojmir Chytil firing just over the bar, and his backheel attempt was stopped by a well-positioned Trmal in goal. A quality cross came from the right foot of David Doudera. Chytil tried again in the 20th minute, but his acrobatic effort missed the far post.
Tomas Holes' long-range shot whizzed past the top right corner, and Tomas Chory was only centimeters away from converting a cross from Malick Diouf. In the final moments of the first half, Stransky's powerful strike did not trouble Stanek. Both teams went into the break at 0-0 and returned for the second half with unchanged lineups.
Holes thought he had scored after a free kick from Christos Zafeiris, but the Slavia captain was ruled offside. Chytil's shot was blocked by his own teammate, and Chory couldn't connect well with a promising pass from Holes.
After an hour of play, Jindrich Trpisovsky made his first substitution, bringing on Ivan Schranz for Chytil. Zafeiris stepped up for a free kick after a foul on Oscar but sent his shot over the bar.
In the 63rd minute, Slavia took the lead when Schranz delivered a cross that Tomas Chory buried into the net ? 1:0. The national team striker scored his eighth goal in the domestic league this season and his 14th across all competitions. Later, Stanek made a great save to push Ladra's deflected shot out for a corner. In the 78th minute, Provod made way for Dominik Pech.
Holes then struck a stunning shot that rattled the crossbar, and his next attempt was saved by Trmal. In the closing moments, Ondrej Lingr came on for Chory. No further goals were scored, and in front of 16,109 spectators, Slavia secured a 1-0 victory over Mlad? Boleslav, taking all three points from their first match of the spring season.
