Slovácko came to Prague as 6th team of current FORTUNA:LIGA table with impressive away record beating 2-0 both Sparta and Plzeň on their soil.

Only three days before the opening game of Champions League group F against Internazionale manager Trpišovský left Tomáš Souček on the bench and Lukáš Masopust left out of the squad. On the other hand, Slavia latest signing Jakub Hora started on the right wing.

Slavia got into their first big chance after 6 minutes. Škoda headed the ball on the far post but was denied by Porcal, Hovorka tried to rebound into an open net but missed the left post of Slovácko goal. Five minutes later Stanciu stood face to face with Porcal but missed wide and referee flagged his offside just a second later.

The red-whites took lead 19 minutes into the game. After a series of chances Hušbauer’s throw-in got into the box, Hora managed to pass the ball through defence line back to Hušbauer and our number 10 scored his 4th of the season from wide angle. 1-0.

Half an hour into the game Slavia doubled their lead. Coufal passed the ball through the box to Zelený, keeper Porcal managed only to block his shot and Coufal managed to find the gap next to the right box. 2-0.

After 37 minutes Škoda jumped on another Hušbauer’s corner and his header hit the right post behind porcal. On 42nd minute Nico Stanciu hit woodwork from the set piece few meters behind the box on the left side.

Slavia continued in the same style during the second half and got into their first chance after 50 minutes when Olayinka missed the right post after Hušbauer’s beautiful cross.

But Sinobo had to wait for the third goal till the 78th minute. In a cooperation of two new signings Jakub Hora passed the ball to Lukáš Provod behind the box and our midfielder scored his maiden goal in Slavia just 9 minutes after he had come on the pitch.

Slavia thus defeated Slovácko 3-0, remained unbeaten and secured the first spot in league table. On Tuesday the red-whites play their opening game in UEFA Champions League Group F away at Inter.
