Bohemians 1905 - Slavia
Slavia drew 0-0 away at Bohemians and set a new Czech league record with unbeaten run of 41 straight games.
Due to health problems and injuries Slavia started with 5 changes compared to the last home game against Zlín. Simon Deli returned to the line-up after more than a month.

Bohemians were the better team at the beginning of the game but failed to create any bigger opportunity. Slavia raised into the game after 15 minutes and it was Petr Ševčík, who could open the score in the 19th minute when his shot from behind the box was blocked just over the crossbar. After half an hour Ševčík tried his luck again from a big distance but sent the ball wide.

Slavia set the pace of the game for the rest of the opening half. After 35 minutes Oscar passed the ball to Bořil on the left wing and our left back squeezed into the penalty box and tried to pass the ball back to Ševčík, but one of Bohemians defenders read his intentions and managed to block the pass.

After 39 minutes Ševčík passed the ball to Nicolae Stanciu from a set piece and the Romanian midfielder sent his firm shot a meter above the crossbar. Two minutes later Tecl sent another sharp cross from the right wing and Masopust missed only one step to reach the ball and deflect it into an open net.

Second half started with several Slavia opportunities. Oscar missed close after 47 minutes and Deli headed the ball wide on minute 50.

Only three minutes later Tecl set up Masopust in a big chance, but Bohemians goalkeeper Bačkovský managed to block his shot, Nicolae Stanciu then sent the ball wide after Ševčík and Oscar returned it in front of the goal.

In the 55th minute the home team got into their first bigger chance of the game, but Puškáč couldn’t reach the ball inside of the box and sent his header next to the far post.

After an hour of the play Jindřich Trpišovský made two changes and Ibrahim Traoré together with Mick van Buren came on the pitch. And it was van Buren who fired into an open net after Bořil’s cross, but Bohemians captain Krch managed to block his effort. Another big chance came in the 72nd minute after a corner kick when Oscar returned the ball in front of the net and Masopust’s effort was blocked by one of the defenders again.

At the 79th minute Traoré was brought down inside of the box, but the VAR check did not rule for a Slavia penalty. Only a minute later Ševčík went past two defenders, brought the ball inside the box, and passed it to Kuchta, his shot, however, was blocked by Bačkovský. On the other side, Levin fired from distance and Kolář had to block his effort on his right post.

Slavia thus drew 0-0 at Bohemians and extended their unbeaten run to 41 games which is a new all-time Czech and Czechoslovak league record. Now the Red-whites need only 1 point from remaining 5 games to secure their third consecutive Czech title.
