Pardubice were opening their brand-new stadium and created first chance of the game. With only 3 minutes on the clock Hlavatý found Chlumecký on the far post from a corner kick and the volley of Pardubice centre-back had to be blocked by Santos.

In heavy snow Slavia got into their first chance after 15 minutes, but Mick van Buren missed the far post turning around his defender inside of the box.

In the 18th minute Václav Jurečka became the first goal scorer in the new Pardubice Arena. After VAR check the referee awarded Slavia penalty for a handball in Pardubice box and our forward sent his low shot on the opposite side than Florin Nita anticipated. 1-0.

Few minutes later Jurásek sent a beautiful pass from the left wing into the box and mick van Buren could fire again, but Nita blocked his effort.

Slavia thus entered the second half with narrow lead but could lose it in the 50th minute when Hlavatý got enough space on the edge of the box and his well-placed effort hit the post.

Slavia made three changes shortly after the Pardubice chance when Provod, Matěj Jurásek and Hronek – who made his debut in red and white – came on the pitch, but the guests could not create any bigger chance. On the other side Dominik Janošek fired from inside the box in the 66th minute and sent his effort just over the crossbar.

In the 69th minute Ondřej Kolář had to show superb save face to face with Lima when our goalkeeper blocked his dangerous shot with his right foot.

Five minutes later Slavia finally created another chance when Douděra sent his volley in front of the goal where Olayinka managed to deflect the ball, but it ended next to the left post.

In the 83rd minute Peter Olaiynka had a giant chance after a beautiful kick-off by Ondřej Kolář which fell through to the Nigerian winger, but he sent his chip over the crossbar.

Complication for Slavia came in the 90th minute when Aiham Ousou saw his second yellow card after returning on the pitch before the referee’s signal and Pardubice started playing all in, but it was Slavia who created more chances into the open defence.

First Petr Hronek could decide the game, but his weak shot after Jurásek`s pass was blocked by Nita. In the 96th minute after a long clearance Tecl took the ball, passed it to Peter Olayinka and the Nigerian sent his shot through Pardubice goalkeeper.
