Win at Slovácko. Beauty from Provod, brace from Jurečka
After the first goal of the match, the game was mostly played in the midfield, and neither team managed to create a chance. That changed in the 40th minute, when the home side Slovácko managed to equalize. Blahút penetrated into the box and got to the ball, but Jindřich Staněk managed to save his shot. The Slavia goalkeeper also dealt with the follow-up from Trávník, but the ball rebounded in front of the open goal to Vecheta, who put the ball into the net - 1:1.
However, Slavia quickly regained control of the game. Lukáš Provod passed the ball to Václav Jurečka in the center of the field, who struck from a medium distance and did not give Heča a chance with a precise shot into the corner - 1:2.
Thanks to the goals from Václav Jurečka and Lukáš Provod, Slavia led 2:1 over Slovácko after the first half.
Immediately at the start of the second half, Wallem escaped brilliantly on the right side and then looked for Mojmír Chytil in front of the goal, but Heča managed to divert the ball at the last moment. In the next action by Slavia, Chytil worked excellently again, first covering the ball and then penetrating through the center of the field to the edge of the box, where he passed the ball to Wallem, who then tried to bypass the onrushing Heča, who brought him down. The action continued, and the ball reached Václav Jurečka, who, however, hit the post from an angle. The referee returned to the foul on Wallem, and with the assistance of VAR, awarded a penalty kick. Václav Jurečka stepped up for the penalty, which he converted excellently to add his second goal of the match - 1:3.
The 59th minute brought a shot from Petr Ševčík from outside the box, narrowly missing the goal. In the 65th minute, a cross came into Slavia's box, and eventually reached Vecheta, whose shot Jindřich Staněk managed to stop. The Sešívaní cleared the ball to a corner in front of the advancing attackers, after which Daníček headed wide of the goal. On the other side, Ondřej Zmrzlý found himself in a good position on the edge of the box, but his shot flew high above.
In the 80th minute, Kvasina got into a shooting position inside the box, but his shot hit the post. After excellent work from Tomáš Vlček, Lukáš Provod penetrated into the box, but this time Heča was successful against his attempt.
Slavia managed to hold on to the lead, and after the international break, they take three points from Slovácko thanks to a 3:1 victory. In their next match, Slavia will face Bohemians on April 6th at 18:00 in Eden.
