The battle for Vršovice against Bohemians decided by Ševčík and Chytil
Bohemians' pressure continued, with Křapka clearing the ball just in time before David Zima, and Jurečka's half-volley flew over the bar. In the 27th minute, Kovařík sought Prekop with a shot, but he narrowly missed the sliding pass. Mojmír Chytil's shot was deflected for a corner, and Soukup made an excellent save against Ondřej Zmrzlý's acrobatic attempt.
A troublesome bouncing cross from the right was handled by Jindřich Staněk in gloves twice, extinguishing the danger. Chytil's header in the 42nd minute narrowly missed the left post. Against David Zima's curling shot, Soukup made an impressive save. In added time of the first half, Bohemians' goalkeeper was helped by the crossbar after Oscar's delivery.
Zima did not return for the second half, replaced by Matěj Jurásek. Kovařík's crossed ball ended up in Staněk's gloves. In the 54th minute, Tomáš Holeš fulfilled his defensive duties excellently, preventing a quick counterattack by the visitors. A minute later, Slavia finally found the opening goal; a rebounded ball was smashed towards the far post by Petr Ševčík, celebrating his first goal of the ongoing season - 1-0.
Oscar's and Jurásek's shots were blocked by the visiting defenders, while Chytil shot over the bar. After a nice combination between Ševčík and Provod, Jurásek attempted a shot, but Soukup managed to close the space between his legs. In the 67th minute, Jindřich Trpišovský's selection extended their lead to two goals; a cross from David Douděra found Mojmír Chytil in the box, who managed to finish with his left foot - 2-0.
Chytil scored for the twelfth time in the ongoing league season, following his October strike at Ďolíček, and shortly after, he made way for Christos Zafeiris. The Norwegian midfielder thus marked his milestone 50th competitive appearance in the red and white shirt. Soukup saved Douděra's shot from an angle, and Slavia's right-back was then replaced by Michal Tomič.
In the final minutes, Stanislav Tecl and Lukáš Masopust entered the field, replacing Ševčík and Jurečka. Staněk reflexively punched away Kozák's long-range shot. Soukup also showed his skills by covering Jurásek's angled shot. In the last seconds, the opponents corrected the score with a successful strike from Hůlka. Slavia thus triumphed in the Vršovice derby against Bohemians with a score of 2-1.
The next match awaits Jindřich Trpišovský's team on Sunday, April 14th, when they will face Plzeň.
