In the 2nd round of the championship group, they erased a two-goal deficit against Plzen and claimed a thrilling 4–3 win — their third victory over the West Bohemian side this season. Tomáš Chorý scored twice, Youssoupha Sanyang netted his first league goal, and Štěpán Chaloupek and Christos Zafeiris were also on target. The Premier League leaders took the lead through Saka’s converted penalty, Merino doubled the advantage in the first minute of the second half, and the same player later sealed the final score. A penalty initially awarded to Slavia was overturned by the referee after consulting VAR.
