Slavia won the direct game for the top of the league table. The Red-Whites came from behind in the second half thanks to Olayinka and Lingr.

The game was a direct fight for the first place in the league table. Before the 23rd round Slavia were one point ahead of Viktoria and two points ahead of Sparta.

Plzeň took lead from the first chance of the game with 15 minutes on the clock. Bucha got enough space in the right side, sent a low cross into the box, Květ missed it, but the ball went through to Chorý who fired it through Kolář from close distance.

Ten minutes later Slavia created their first opportunity to equalize. Tomáš Holeš went past two Viktoria players and sent a long cross from the left side, Stanislav Tecl fired on the far post, but his effort from a diggicult position flew over the crossbar.

In the 29th minute Slavia had two corner kicks after each other and after the first one Schranz got to the ball on the near post but fired wide too.

Slavia dominated the game but could not create any bigger chances against the guests who focused entirely on defence. Eden thus had to wait till the added time of the first half to see another opportunity, but Olayinka’s header after Slavia corner was blocked by Staněk at the left post.

Slavia made two changers at the break when van Buren and Lingr came on the pitch, and 3 minutes into the second half David Jurásek fired from the edge of the box after the ball rebounded several times following Slavia corner but sent his shot over the crossbar.

Two minutes later Slavia managed to equalize. Ševčík sent sharp cross from the corner, one of the defenders deflected the ball on the near post and Peter Olaiynka scored a tap-in from 7 metres. 1-1.

Slavia locked Plzeň inside of their box and in the 74th minute after another corner Ondřej Linger fired from similar position, but his volley missed the right post.

But 2 minutes later it worked out for the hosts again. Matěj Jurásek went past several Plzeň players inside of the box and sent a sharp cross from the goal line, Mick van Buren was brought down in front of the goal, but the ball fell through to Ondřej Lingr who sent it into an open net. 2-1!

Shortly afterwards Plzeň could equalize from sporadic chance when Jirka outrun Slavia defence and sent a dangerous cross in front of the goal, but Matěj Jurásek managed to clear the ball before Viktoria forwards.

But for the rest of the game Slavia managed to keep the guests at bay and defended the lead after the second-half comeback.

The Red-Whites thus keep their spot on top of the league table with two-point margin against Sparta and four points ahead of Viktoria.

Slavia defeated Slovan Liberec 1–0 in the 17th round at Fortuna Arena, maintaining their perfect home record in the Chance League this fall. Mojmír Chytil scored the winning goal in the 41st minute, with Dominik Pech earning his first league assist. A total of 17,969 spectators attended the match in Eden.

Slavia Prague suffered a 1–2 defeat against Turkish side Fenerbahçe SK in the 5th round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, despite taking an early lead through Tomáš Chorý. The visitors turned the match around with goals from Edin Džeko and En Nesyri. Slavia remains on four points in the group.
