Slavia suffered a 0-2 defeat at Letná in the 25th round of the Chance Liga, marking their second loss of the ongoing league season. After Mojmir Chytil’s red card, the home team scored twice in the second half. The Red-Whites currently hold a ten-point lead at the top of the table.

The coaching staff made three changes compared to the Vr?ovice derby. In defense, Stepan Chaloupek was replaced by Igoh Ogbu, who returned after serving a suspension. In midfield, David Moses started in the league for Slavia for the first time. In attack, Christos Zafeiris took the place of Ondrej Lingr.

On the bench were the recovered Lukas Provod and, for the first time since July and the match against Slov?cko, Tomas Vlcek! Slavia won the first league encounter of the 2024/25 season, securing a 2-1 victory in Eden on October 6 thanks to an early goal from Chytil and a strike from Zafeiris.

The home side had the first chance to open the scoring in the 5th minute, but Panak?s header went wide. Sorensen followed suit, failing to challenge Jindrich Stanek.

In the 18th minute, an unfit Malick Diouf was replaced by Ivan Schranz. Zafeiris' powerful shot from a fast counterattack flew past the left corner of Vindahl?s goal. VAR then reviewed Chytil?s challenge on the Danish goalkeeper, and referee Roucek upgraded the initial yellow card to a red. Slavia faced a long spell with a man down.

At the end of the first half, Stanek pulled off two phenomenal saves, making acrobatic stops at his right post to deny headers from Uchenna and Kuchta?s follow-ups. In the 50th minute, Tomas Chory had a chance to punish a defensive mistake but failed to hit the open goal from distance. The home team broke the deadlock after a corner kick, with Zeleny finding the net ? 1:0.

Letn? doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Haraslin capitalized on another mistake in the build-up ? 2:0. Stanek handled Laci?s effort well, and Provod and Botos replaced Chory and Zafeiris. Stanek then made another spectacular stop to deny Zeleny?s volley. Two quick corners from Slavia did not result in a serious threat to Vindahl?s goal.

Towards the end, Kusej and Pech came on, replacing Doudera and Moses. The match offered no further drama, and Slavia suffered their second league defeat of the season in the 313th derby at Letn?. They remain at the top of the table with a ten-point lead. Their next match is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, at Fortuna Arena against Jablonec.
