Draw in a pre-season friendly against Piast Gliwice
Ondřej Kolář started the match in goal, Bah, Kúdela, Kacharaba and Zima played in defence. Ibrahim Traoré, Mick van Buren, Ondřej Lingr, Nicolae Stanciu started in midfield as well as Srdjan Plavšić who made his debut in red and white! Jan Kuchta was Slavia’s only man up front.
The first twenty minutes did not offer any goal-threatening opportunity. In the 8th minute, Nicolae Stanciu produced the first shot of the game but it was blocked by the defence.
The first big chance came in the 32nd minute after Jan Kuchta was fauled on the border of the box and the referee awarded a free kick for Slavia. Nicolae Stanciu stepped up to take it and sent a good shot on goal. But the goalkeeper made a good save to prevent Slavia from scoring the first goal of the game!
Nico Stanciu sent Slavia into the lead in the 48th minute! Ondřej Lingr took the ball from one of the Piast midfielders, sent it to Stanciu who shot from behind the penalty area and scored the first goal of the match!
In the 68th minute, Patryk Sokolowski sent a nice shot to the top right corner of the goal and Ondřej Kolář could not reach it! The game was tied again.
Michal Hošek made his debut for the first team when he replaced David Zima in the 78th minute.
Slavia drew the match against Piast Gliwice 1-1. Now the Red-whites can focus on the start of the new season!
