Slavia lost their first league game of 2023/24 despite a one-goal lead at the break. Mick van Buren´s goal wasn´t enough after Erik Jirka scored twice to turn the score around in the second half.
First big chance for Plzeň when Dweh missed close with his header after a free kick by Kalvach in the 11th minute.

Mick van Buren gave Slavia lead with a firm header after Wallem’s cross from the left wing.

More chances for Plzeň in the first half. Troré missed clos with his cross shot, Cadu’s effort was blocked.

Lukáš Provod could double Slavia lead after 29 minutes, but sent his header wide after a good cross by Tomič.

Equaliser by Viktoria came in the 64th minute when Dweh se up Erik Jirka behind Slavia defence and the Slovak forward sent the ball past Mandous.

Plzeň came from behind when Jirka latched onto a through pass by Vydra and beat Mandous for the second time.

Masopust had the biggest chance to equalize in the added time, but Staněk managed to block his firm shot from the edge of the box.

Slavia lost their first league game of 2023/24 and the first home game since May 2022.
