Slavia lost their first league game since September 2018. Viktoria scored one goal at the end of each half and is now 3 points behind Slavia in the league table.
Slavia wen to the game six points clear on top of the league ahead of second Viktoria.Manager Trpišovský made only one change to starting line-up in compare to Europa League game on Thursday. Belgian offensive player Peter Olayinka replaced Milan Škoda as lone striker.

Viktoria were first to create a goalscoring opportunity 7 minutes into the game, but Hubník headed Hořava’s cross wide on the far post.

Slavia created their first chance after 9 minutes when Bořil aimed his cross to Olayinka and goalkeeper Hruška managed to deflect the ball with his fingertips. Shortly afterwards Stoch tried his luck with volley from 19 meters but Hubník managed to block the ball to corner kick.

Plzeň had more possession in the first half and created several promising chances. On 21st minute Chorý sent a frim shot from behind the box and Kolář had to punch the ball away. After 33 minutes Kayamba fund Hořava from the left wing and Hořava’s volley missed the left post of Slavia goal.

Just a minute before the end of the opening half Viktoria broke the deadlock. Slavia lost the ball on their own half, Hrošovský sent long cross to the left wing, Limberský passed the ball in front of the net and Tomáš Chorý found the back of open net. The referee hesitated for a while due to Chorý’s previous offside position but confirmed the goal after VAR consultation.

For the second half alex Král replaced Petr Ševčík and it was just him who created first Slavia chance. Less than 2 minutes into the game Král passed the ball to Olayinka inside of the box, but our striker missed wide with his volley.

The red-whites could equalize on 52nd minute after combination similar to Viktoria’s one I the first half. Bořil passed ball to Souček in front of an open net but our midfielder was caught in narrow offside.

Slavia sent van Buren and Škoda on the pitch and tried to equalize but Plzeň defended well and did not allow many chances. After 79 minutes Ngadeu headed after Hušbauer’s corner, but Hruška did not have much trouble to save his effort.

On 82nd minute Viktoria doubled their lead after a counter-attack. Havel outmuscled Bořil after a through pass and sent a good cross to Beauguel who headed the ball into the net.

Slavia thus lost their first league game since September 2018 and their position on top of the league is now three points ahead of Plzeň.
