Five-goal win on the start of the spring season
After half an hour Slavia created two more chances, but Jurečka’s volley missed the target and Stanislav Tecl sent his beautiful effort only centimetres from the right post. So, it was Jablonec who equalized instead. In the added time Jovović got enough space in the centre of the pitch and sent his firm shot under the crossbar from behind the box.
Slavia, however, raised back into the game after 60th minute. In the 65th minute Mick van Buren returned the lead for the Red-Whites with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box only minutes after coming from the bench.
Only two minutes later van Buren got close to the box again, sent a beautiful through pass to Ondřej Lingr and our midfielder fired the ball through Jablonec goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
And in the 76th minute – after another cross from the left side by van Buren – the ball got from Peter Olayinka to Matěj Jurásek who found the back of the net for the fourth time.
“Give them five,” the home fans shouted until Matěj Jurásek anticipated misplaced pass by one of Jablonec defenders, got to the ball inside of the box, went past the goalkeeper and scored into an open net to score his second and Slavia’s fifth goal of the night.
After a loss of Viktoria Plzeň against Hradec Králové on Saturday, Slavia moved to the first place of the league table, one point ahead of their rival.
