Slavia - Jablonec
PRAGUE/EDEN ARÉNA - Slavia played goalless draw against FK Jablonec in one of the most important games of home spring campaigh 2016. The sewn-ones were better team but Bořil and Mihalík twice only hit woodwork in their best chances.
Slavia were clearly the better side in the 24th round game against Jablonec but could not break the deadlock of guest’s defense. Despite several good opportunities in the second half the game ended in a goalless draw.

After 27 minutes Michal Frydrych jinked past Hybš and sent a shot with his left foot but Bárta went to ground to repel his low-range effort. Five minutes before the break Jan Bořil slipped through the defence and hit the left post of Bárta’s goal. It was not the last time woodwork saved the guests.

Jablonec’s biggest chance came just before the half-time with Karavaev’s long range effort, but Pavlenka in Slavia goal punched the ball away.

The hosts set the pace in the second half as well but failed to open the score on several occasions. Slavia’s play radically improved only when Levan Kenia entered the pitch in 70th minute. Few minutes later the Georgian midfielder sent a through pass to Mešanovič but Bárta again proved his quality with a decent save.

Jaroslav Mihalík than came really close to winning the game for hosts in 82nd and 83rd minute, but only hit the woodwork in both cases.

Having better of the chances, Slavia played only 0-0 though. Jablonec held the hosts at bay and would not be unhappy with one-point gain.
