Slavia defeated FK Teplice 5-1 home in the last game before the UEFA Champions League Play-off start on Tuesday.
Manager Trpišovský could not count on Hovorka and Traoré who were left out of the squad due to an injury. David Zima started next to Ondřej Kúdela as centre back and Tomáš Holeš who made his international debut against Scotland last week as defensive midfielder.

It took Slavia less than 2 minutes t take lead. Provod passed the ball back to Peter Olayinka on the right side of the box and Nigerian forward fired the ball through Grigar with slight deflection by one of Teplice defenders.

Just 13 minutes int the game the red and whites managed to double the lead. Coufal found Nicolae Stanciu on the edge of the box and Romanian midfielder sent his effort into the bottom left corner.

Another blow for Teplice came in 20th minute. David Heidenreich pulled down Petar Musa on the edge of the box, the referee showed him red card and sent the away team down to ten men. Only 6 minutes later Mareček tried to pass the ball to his own goalkeeper, but Petar Musa was first on ball and sent it into an open net. 3-0 for Slavia.

Slavia could not convert any other chances in the first half, but only 7 minutes after the break the hosts added fourth. Tomáš Holeš got enough space 25 metres from goal and fired the ball into the top left corner.

Slavia made triple substitution in 55th minute and Ondřej Karafiát made his debut in red and white, but shortly afterwards Teplice profited from the first gap in our defence. Coufal tackled Trubač inside the box after a quick counter-attack and the referee blew for penalty. Jakub Mareš fired the ball in the middle and spoiled the clean sheet for Kolář.

But the goal account was not empty yet. In 68th minute Olayinka sent his cross from the goal line, Laco Takács found himself unattended in the box and headed the ball into an open net to make it 5-1.

In 81st minute Jan Kuchta could score his maiden goal in red and white after a great through pass by Tecl, but Grigar blocked his shot. In the added time Takács was close to his second, but his header flew past the left post.

Slavia thus beat Teplice 5-1 and recorded their 3rd win of the season, the red-whites scored 15 goal in the opening 4 games of the 2020/21 Fortuna liga. On Tuesday, Slavia play first leg of UEFA Champions League Play-off against Midtjylland. The game starts at 9 pm and will be played home in Eden.
