Václav Jurečka opened the scoring after less than 5 minutes. After a beautiful combination on the left wing the ball got to Ivan Schranz in Plzeň box, the Slovak forward set up Václav Jurečka in front of the goal and he scored his 13th goal of the season.

However, the fans had to wait until the 45th minute when Matěj Jurásek set up Ivan Schranz on the edge of the box, but Schranz’s effort was blocked by Staněk.

The guests appeared in the first chance of the second half when Durosinmi headed over the crossbar after a cross by Květ. In the 56th minute Plzeň equalized after the ball rebounded several times on the edge of Slavia box and ended again by Rafiu Durosinmi, who sent it through Kolář.

In the 64th minute Ogbu started a fast counter-attack and passed the ball to Jurásek who set up Jurečka in front on an open goal, but Staněk made a great save to deny him his second goal of the night.

Slavia recovered from the setback and two more minutes later Lingr turned around wot the ball inside of the box but sent his effort only to Staněk’s gloves. After the next attack Douděra fired from outside the box but only forced Staněk to make another save.

After a period of pressure Slavia regained lead thanks to Václav Jurečka’s great work. Jurečka won the ball over Řezník, passed it to Oscar, got it back inside of the box and fired it into the top left corner to make it 2-1.

The Red-Whites then managed to keep Plzeň at bay for most of the remaining time. Only in the 90th minute Matěj Vydra fired from 15 metres after a counter-attack, but his shot was deflected and ended in Kolář’s gloves. In the added time then Kaša fired from outside of the box, but again only in the middle of Slavia goal.

In the last minute of the added time Jirka had a great chance after Řezník passed the ball to him inside of Slavia box, but Aiham Ousou blocked his effort with a last-minute sliding tackle.
