Jablonec - Slavia
Goals: 15. Doležal - 6. Lingr
Ondřej Lingr scored early on in the first half, but Jablonec managed to equalise in our last away game of the season.
Manager Jindřich Trpišovský made several changes into the staring line-up as he let some of the key players rest after a challenging and long season. Jan Stejskal made his league debut for Slavia in goal, seventeen-year old Daniel Samek started too his maiden game for the Red-Whites as a defensive midfielder.

Jablonec were caught napping early in the opening half and Slavia took lead only 6 minutes into the game. Alexander Bah sent a great cross from the right wing into the penalty area and Ondřej Lingr scored easily into the open net from close range.

Jablonec, however, responded just nine minutes after the opener. Martin Doležal received a nice trough ball behind Slavia defence and fired the ball through Stejskal in a one-on-one situation.

In the 21st minute Slavia could re-gain their lead after Alexander Bah was tackled in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot, but the penalty was cancelled after a long VAR review. The hosts then created two chances late in the first half, but Doležal fired wide after a low cross from the right side and a header by Pilař was blocked by Alexander Bah.

Start oof the second half offered fewer chanced than the opening stage. In the 49th minute Jablonec defence couldn’t clear Zima’s cross and the ball almost ended in the back of the net. Five minutes later Doležal headed in the difficult position on the other side and Stejskal saved his effort easily.

Another chance hasn’t come till the 83rd minute. Považanec set up Jovović with a through pass and Stejskal had to show good save blocking the low effort with his legs. Only a minute later Jovovič had another chance when he could fire from the edge of the box, but Stejskal saved his effort in the middle of the gal again.

In the 87th minute Jablonec were close to breaking the game, but Štěpánek sent his volley next to the left post after a cross from the left wing. In the added time Yusuf headed after a long cross from the set piece, but goalkeeper Hanuš saved his effort.

Slavia thus drew 1-1 in Jablonec and extended their unbeaten run to 45 league games. The Red-Whites are only one game from finishing the 2020/21 season unbeaten!
