Slavia - Zlín
Goals: 74. Masopust
Lukáš Masopust scored the only goal as Slavia defeated Zlín 1-0 in the last game of regular season.
Slavia could not count on two of their forwards – both Tecl and Yusuf could not start after 4th yellow card and Petar Musa thus started as a lone striker.

The red and whites could take early lead just 3 minutes into the game when Stanciu found Provod inside the box, but our midfielder was denied by Dostál with his effort.

Bigger chances have not come until the five-minute extra time. Three minutes into the added time Stanciu’s cross found our captain Jan Bořil unattended in the box, but his header was blocked by Zlín goalkeeper Dostál.

In the last action before the break Stanciu sent his cross to Coufal, our right back returned it in front of the goal to Petar Musa, but the Croatian striker only managed to deflect the ball next to the left post.

After the break Slavia had to make their first substitution when Ondřej Kúdela left for hospital with suspected fracture and was replaced by Laco Takács. After less than a minute Stanciu’s corner got to Masopust on the far post, but Dostál managed to block his cross shot.

In 54th minute Ševčík won the ball on Zlín half and passed it to Musa who managed to lift the ball over Dostál, but the ball was directed next to the left post. After 61 minutes Zlín got into one of their few chances so far, but Simerský fired the ball over the crossbar after a quick counter-attack.

Few minutes later Zlín could take lead when Simerský headed the ball into the net following a long cross from the right wing, but the referee disallowed his goal for previous offside.

Eden had to wait for the opening goal till the 74th minute. Bořil won the ball on the left side, Traoré sent a nice through pass to Stanciu, his cross found Lukáš Masopust in front of an open goal and our midfielder’s header found the back of the net. 1-0.

Slavia managed to keep the away team at bay till the 92nd minute. Poznar headed the ball following a cross from the left wing and Ondřej Kolář had to perform a great save to block his effort to keep his record of 21 clean sheets during regular season.

The red and whites will enter the Champions Group from first place with 6 more points than Viktoria Plzeň. Slavia cannot finish worse than second – Sparta on the third place are 22 points behind with 5 games left.
