Narrow win against Olomouc
Manager Jindřich Trpišovský made a few changes to his starting eleven in comparison with the last match. Bah, Kúdela, Zima and Oscar started in defense. Holeš, Provod, van Buren, Stanciu and Lingr played in midfield. Jan Kuchta started the game up front.
The first big chance of the game came in the 15th minute. Oscar Dorley sent a good pass from the left wing into the penalty area to Ondřej Lingr. He produced a nice shot but only hit the outside of the net!
In the 28th minute, Jan Kuchta was fauled in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. After VAR reviewed the situatuion, they found out the faul was commited in front of the box and the penalty was canceled.
Nicolae Stanciu had to be substituted at halftime because of an injury. Peter Olayinka replaced him and he instantly contributed to Slavia's attack. The Red-whites produced some good chances in the first fifteen minutes of the second half but they were not able to turn in into goals.
The home team also had some opportunities. In the 64th minute, Zmrzlý sent a nice shot from a free kick but the ball missed the goal.
The breaktrough came in the 78th minute. Bah's cross from a corner kick found Kuchta in the box. The striker headed it beautifully to the far post and sent Slavia into the lead!
Slavia won the game against Olomouc 1-0 and extended their unbeaten run in the league to 43 matches. The Red-whites will play again on 16th May at home against Karviná.
