Olayinka was the match winner against Slovácko

The game started with a thanks to the Fire Department of the Czech Republic and its USAR team which was helping in Turkey after recent earthquake. The ambassador f Turkey in the Czech Republic also attended the event.
The stadium also held a minute of silence for Marin Pěnička, former Slavia player and the 1996 league champion who passed away at 53 this week.
The Red-Whites have made 7 changes into the starting line-up and managed to take early lead. With 12 minutes on the clock Zafeiris sent a beautiful cross from a corner kick, Peter Olayinka appeared unattended inside of the box and fund the back of the net with a firm header.
Slovácko goalkeeper Nguyen conceded his first goal of the spring part of the season. His run was 435 minutes long.
Some quarter-hour later David Jurásek could double the lead going past several players inside of the box, but Nguyen managed to kick the ball from below his feet on time. Shortly before the break Zafeiris’ volley missed the right post.
Slavia created several chances in the second half too, but could not score until 73rd minute when Tomáš Holeš fired from the right side of the box and Peter Olayinka deflected his effort into the net. It was Olayinka’s second of the night and eight goal of the season overall.
Slavia thus won 2-0 home against Slovácko and returned on top of the league table.
Next game will be played on Wednesday, 1 March, when Slavia host Vyškov at home in the MOL Cup quarter-final with the kick-off at 6 pm.
