Ostrava - Slavia
Goals: 17. Svozil, 90+7. Stronati – 14. Stanciu, 90+4. Masopust
Two goals in added time shaped the game in Ostrava. Slavia took lead after 94 mminutes, Baník answered with equalizer in 97th minute.
Slavia travelled to face an unpopular away opponent. The red and whites won their last game in Ostrava in August 2015, this season they lost their MOL Cup game 0-2 at City Stadium.

Manager Trpišovský made several changes into the starting eleven. Hellebrand made his first cap in starting line-up, Traoré started with Ševčík as defensive midfielder and Musa played as the lone striker this time.

Slavia took lead after 14 minutes. Nicolae Stanciu prepared the ball for the set piece on the left side of the pitch and fired it precisely close to the near post.

Ostrava managed to answer just 3 minutes later. After a corner the ball got to Svozil on the far p61st miuteost and Baník defender managed to fire it through Kolář. It was the first goal Slavia conceded since the restart of the league and first goal since 8 March.

Both teams failed to create bigger chances till 41st minute. Then Hellebrand took a corner kick, Stanciu fired the ball from the edge of the box and Jánoš stopped the ball with his hand, but the referee did not decide for penalty after a consultation with VAR.

Slavia started the second half better after two substitutions – Tecl replaced Musa and Masopust came in for Hellebrand – and launched a period of total dominance. Despite the 80% ball possession after the break, the red and whites created few bigger chances. Only in 47th minute Tecl found Masopust with his cross but our midfielder fired the ball over the crossbar.

Baník focused entirely on defence and Slavia could not overcome their defensive wall until the added time. In 94th minute Ševčík sent a low cross into the box, Masopust latched onto the pass and found the top of the net with his sharp shot.

But the guests could not celebrate for long. Three minutes later Kolář punched one of Baník efforts on the corner, the cross found Stronati’s head inside Slavia box and Baník captain equalized again.

Slavia thus drew 2-2 in Ostrava and the advantage on top of the league ahead of Viktoria Plzeň shrunk to 6 points.
