Karviná - Slavia
KARVINÁ/MĚSTSKÝ STADION - Slavia seized their first away victory of the season. In round 10 of Czech HET liga they defeated MFK Karviná 2-0 thanks to Škoda and van Buren goals.
After returning from international duties Slavia players travelled to Karviná in hope for the first away win of the season thus reducing the 8-point lead by Viktoria Plzeň.

Just 9 minutes into the game Slavia could take the lead when Hušbauer found Škoda in a good position, but our captain was denied by goalkeeper Le Giang and so was Hušbauer with his prompt rebound.

But Škoda gave Slavia the desired advantage ten minutes later. At minute 19 he profited from Stoch’s corner kick and headed the ball into the net on the near post.

Mick van Buren doubled the lead at minute 58. Škoda seized poor pass by one of Karviná defenders, sent a through ball to van Buren and the Dutch offensive midfielder chopped the ball over Le Giang.

Although both team set a hot pace for the rest of the game, the spectators have seen no more goals. Slavia thus seized their first away victory in HET liga. The red & whites will have another chance next week in their UEL game in Villarreal.
