CS Craiova - Slavia
CRAIOVA/ROMANIA – Slavia were the first club to play on the new Ion Oblemenco stadium in thr Romanian city of Craiova. The red & whites defeated the hosts CS Universitatea 4-0 thanks to two goals by Milan Škoda and one by Mick van Buren and 19-year old Pavel Bucha who has played his very first game for the A-team.
Slavia travelled to Craiova without players on national duties, manager Šilhavý thus missed not only Bořil, Hušbauer and Souček, but also Hromada (Slovakia U21), Ngadeu (Cameroon) or Deli (Ivory Coast).

After a marvellous opening celebration with laser shows, concert and honouring of the Craiova football legends the game started better for the home side, but their first chance resulted in the shot over the crossbar and Kovář in Slavia goal was ready to save the other one.

But after these chances Slavia players were the one to set the pace of the game. Danny had two chances just after 15 minutes but missed in his first one and was denied by Mitrović in the other. The Craiova goalkeeper was also ready to save header by Škoda and nice shot from a distance by Stoch.

Slavia took lead at minute 35. Frydrych sent accurate cross to the box and Milan Škoda directed his left-footed volley into the net. Just 7 minutes later the same player utilized another pass by Per-Egil Flo and doubled the lead from outside the box.

At minute 53 Pavel Bucha – a 19-year old junior – scored his first goal for Slavia senior team when he found the ball alone at the far post after a cross from the right wing.

And Slavia fourth was then added by Mick van Buren who directed his shot precisely close to the post at minute 76.
