PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA – The sewn-ones faced the toughest spring opponent on Sunday. After matches with Jihlava and Příbram, Slavia welcomed in Eden the ruling champions from Plzeň.
Over nineteen thousand spectators saw a tactical battle with Slavia being the more dangerous team in their attempts to score a goal. In 71st minute Řezník tackled Zmrhal and received his second yellow card in the match and Plzeň went down to ten men.

Slavia’s coach Jaroslav Šilhavý made clear that three points should stay in Eden and strengthened the offensive power with strikers Mešanovič and Tecl. In 88th minute Sýkora executed a corner kick and Michal Frydrych’s header sealed the victory for Slavia. And the defender dedicated the goal to his wife and new-born daughter.

The visitors turned the match around with goals from Edin Džeko and En Nesyri. Slavia remains on four points in the group.
