Teplice - Slavia
Goals: 64. Mareš - 43. Oscar
The red and whites drew 1-1 at Teplice. Oscar gave Slavia lead, Mareš equalised after the break.
Manager Trpišovský has made 7 changes into the starting line-up in compare to the Europa League game against Leicester City on Thursday. Only goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář and Bořil, Bah and Kúdela in the defence line remained, complete midfield and attack was replaced. Michal Beran made his full debut for Slavia after his return from loan to Liberec.

The hosts started better and got into the first chance 5 minutes into the game, but Moulis’ pass across the penalty area was too long for Žitný who could not reach the ball on the far post.

On the muddy pitch Slavia had to wait 19 minutes to get into their first chance. After a blocked shot the ball rebounded to Alexander Bah on the edge of the box and his spectacular volley had to be blocked by Čtvrtečka.

Just two minutes later Deli blocked a dangerous effort by Mareš from the left side of the box.

Slavia gradually improved their performance and put Teplice under pressure at the end of the opening half. In 42nd minute Lingr penetrated the home defence and Čtvrtečka performed a great save to deny him with his firm shot. The ball rebounded to Traoré who fired into the crossbar.

But Slavia managed to score before the interval after all. After a series of attacks Traoré returned the ball into the box, hiss cross bounced over the home goalkeeper and Oscar Dorley sent the ball into an open net with his maiden goal in red-white.

Slavia had to make one change during the break as Bah was replaced by Masopust following an ankle injury. Another change had to be made in 55th minute when Kuchta replaced Lingr unable to continue after one of the aerial duels.

Shortly after the break Oscar could score his second and double Slavia lead after Bořil cross, but Čtvrtečka pushed his header over the crossbar on the far post.

Unfortunately, this was the last dramatic event for a long time as both teams struggled to create chances on the worsening pitch. After one of their few swift counter-attacks, however, Teplice managed to equalize when Fortelný passed the ball to Jakub Mareš on the left side of the box, he went past Masopust and fired the ball through Kolář.

Jindřich Trpišovský was asking his players for a more clinical approach after the equalizer, but the red-whites failed to creato bigger chances. In the 80th minute Provod sent a precise pass to Olayinka’s head, but Slavia midfielder was denied by Čtvrtečka again who pulled off a superb reflex save to send the ball over the crossbar with his fingertips.

The red-whites got one more chance to score a match-winner when Oscar deflected Stanciu’s shot inside the box and changed its course, but the ball missed the right post close.

Slavia thus could not extend their three-goal run (scoring 3 or more goals in all their 2021 league games) and drew 1-1 to Teplice.
