The Vršovice Derby ended in a 2–2 draw
It was an unlucky match for stopper Simon Deli. Bohemians took the lead after he scored an own goal in the 9th minute. In the 32nd minute the Ivory Coast player tackled Mosquera in the box which resulted in a penalty and Bohemians captain Josef Jindřišek scored his eleventh goal from the penalty spot.
Slavia’s performance improved which led to their first goal. Karel Piták’s pass found striker Milan Škoda and his right footed shot ended behind Zlámal’s back. After a tackle on Voltr Slavia could equalise the score from a penalty shot. Piták aimed towards the left goalpost but Zlámal made an important save for his team.
Slavia started the second half in more active fashion and in the end succeeded in equalizing the score. The team’s best striker Milan Škoda jumped for the ball in 86th minute and directed his header on target: 2-2. Škoda then tried to complete the hat trick but Bohemians goalkeeper Zlámal pulled off great saves.
Karel Piták celebrated his 300th league match and entered the Club of League Legends. He admitted that Slavia have trouble with entering the home matches. “I think that we play the away games more responsibly. We have to take more aggressive approach. We start playing only when we feel the noose tightening around our necks.” But the fans pushed the team forward until the very end. “The spectators created a great atmosphere,” appreciated the experienced midfielder.
