Slovácko - Slavia
UHERSKÉ HRADIŠTĚ - Slavia claimed another three points in an away match and defeated Slovácko 2-0. Miljan Vukadinović netted his debut goal for Slavia.
Slavia missed their injured captain Martin Latka but it did not weaken the defence which meant another clean sheet for Martin Berkovec.
The first dangerous attempt of red-whites started with Piták’s corner kick but Bílek’s header was caught by Heča. The home team relied on their brilliant striker Došek but the captain of Slovácko hit only the crossbar and also his other attempts did not end up in the net.
Slavia took the lead in 33rd minute. Mikula gained the possession of the ball and passed it to Vukadinović who scored his first goal in Slavia by nutmegging the goalkeeper.
With the league top scorers Škoda and Došek missing huge chances in the second half, someone else had to step in. In 59th minute Jaromír Zmrhal received a pass from Berkovec and scored Slavia’s second goal securing three point for his team.
Head coach Dušan Uhrin was satisfied with the result. “It was a difficult match from the very beginning. We knew exactly the strategy of Slovácko and we used it to our advantage. The match could have gone a different way if Došek scored in 12th minute instead of hitting a crossbar. We stuck to the plan, we were successful at counter attacks and scored twice. We gain more points in away matches, the players are probably more responsible. But we also need to keep all the points in Eden. We should confirm our victory at Slovácko by winning the home match against Příbram.“
