Slavia - Mladá Boleslav
PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA - The silence of our strikers is over. After long 356 minutes Mick van Buren started a cannonade against Mladá Boleslav which ended in 4-0 win. Eduard Sobol also scored his maiden goal in Slavia just ten minutes after he came from the bench.
Slavia started with Mick van Buren as a lone striker as Škoda could not start due to health problems and Mešanovič due to injury.

And just after 3 minutes van Buren had his first chance heading the ball just below the crossbar but the Boleslav goalkeeper Aghayev stood on the right place to make an easy save.

The Dutch striker was more successful at minute 14. After Hušbauer’s perfect work on the left wing van Buren latched onto his precise cross and headed the ball towards the back post. Slavia was 1-0 up after the Dutch maiden goal in Czech league.

Boleslav then balanced the game and get into some dangerous positions, but Chramosta missed the target from inside the box after 33 minutes and Mebrahtu was denied by Laštůvka with his bouncing shot a few minutes later.

But it was van Buren again who had the last word in the first half. After a perfect combination Danny passed to Bořil, he sent through pass to Zmrhal and after his low cross van Buren had an easy job to fire the ball into an open net. At minute 40 it was 2-0.

Slavia set the pace in the second half as well and after many wasted chances, Boleslav came to help themselves. On the 76th minute Přikryl sent a rapid pass back to his own goalkeeper, Aghayev tried to stop the ball but instead of that he missed with his left foot and let the ball into the net.

Another maiden goal for Slavia played then came at minute 82. Ukrainian international Eduard Sobol, who replaced Zmrhal just few minutes before, came with sharp header after Bořil’s cross but was denied by Aghayev’s perfect save. The Azerbaijani goalkeeper managed to punch the ball in front of the goal and Sobol managed to rebound it into the net.

After a long period without a goal Slavia thus managed to beat Mladá Boleslav 4-0. The red & whites are now second in the league table without conceding a single goal. The series of league games without a single loss is now 31 games – exactly one year long.
