Wedding and a comeback! Two strikes for Kušej

Jakub Markovic replaced the ill Jindrich Stanek in the starting lineup. Tomas Vlcek made his first league appearance for the A-team since July 21, when he suffered a serious knee injury in Uherske Hradiste. Vasil Kusej made his first start for Slavia in the domestic league, having only come off the bench in previous matches.
Before kickoff, a special moment unfolded?a wedding ceremony right on the pitch at Eden. Jan and Katerina, both big Slavia fans, said "I do" on the field, with the ceremony officiated by fellow Slavia fan Jan Pirk.
Before the opening minute was even over, Hradec had taken the lead. Griger beat Markovic ? 0:1. It was only the fourth time Trpisovsky?s side had conceded at home in the top flight this season, having won all thirteen previous home matches. Oscar immediately tried to respond but missed the far post, and Ivan Schranz?s bicycle kick also came to nothing.
After 15 minutes, Lukas Provod drove through the middle but his shot went straight at the keeper. In the 24th minute, Sesivani equalized when Vasil Kusej beat the keeper with a low strike for his debut goal in Slavia colors ? 1:1. Schranz assisted with a well-won aerial duel.
Ondrej Zmrzly's acrobatic effort near the end of the first half lacked placement and went straight at the goalkeeper. The second half began with two huge chances for Slavia?Schranz fired over from a close-range rebound after a Provod shot, and Kusej's curling effort toward the far post was tipped wide by the Hradec keeper.
In the 58th minute, Slavia turned the game around. After a beautiful passing move, Kusej was again on the end of it to make it 2:1. Schranz picked up his second assist of the match. This was followed by a triple substitution?Zmrzly, Schranz, and Zafeiris made way for David Moses, Simion Michez, and Giannis-Fivos Botos.
In the 81st minute, two-goal hero Kusej left the pitch, replaced by Divine Teah. Vlcek also exited to applause from the stands.
No more goals were scored, and Slavia saw the match out to a 2?1 win over Hradec Kralove thanks to Vasil Kusej?s brace. Their next home match comes quickly, as they face Olomouc in the MOL Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday at Eden.
