Slavia defeated Karviná thanks to goals by Olayinka and Lingr to go through to the MOL Cup quarter-finals.
Peter Olayinka gave Slavia lead after 18 minutes when the ball rebounded to him from Lingr after a corner kick taken by David Jurásek and the NIgerian forward quickly sent it under the crossbar.

In the 31st minute Jakub Hromada set up Ondřej Lingr in front of an open goal and the midfielder who joined Slavia from Karviná had an easy job scoring against his former teammates.

In a freezing weather Slavia created many chances even after the break, but most of them were denied by Karviná goalkeeper.

Slavia thus won their last game of 2022 against Karviná 2-0 and went through to the MOL Cup quarter-final which will be played next spring.
