Slavia - Bohemians 1905
Goals: 7. Sima. 66. Provod – 68. Hronek
The red-whites won 2-1 against their city rivals Bohemians 1905. Sima and Provod scored in the last home game of 2020.

Slavia started the match with the same eleven as in the last game against Slovan Liberec. Kolář started in goal, Masopust, Kúdela, Zima and Bořil in defense. Oscar Dorley played as a defensive midfielder alongside Nico Stanciu. Attacking midfiled was composed of Sima, Provod and Olayinka and Kuchta started up front.

The Red-whites were the better team in the first half. They held the ball for the majority of time and also outshooted the opposition. Bohemians had only one shot on goal whereas Slavia fired on goal seven times.

Slavia had the first big chance in the 2nd minute of the game. Jan Bořil crossed the ball into the penalty area where he found Provod. His first touch with the ball was not good enough and Le Giang had no problem saving his shot.

The first goal of the game came just a few minutes after that. Nico Stanciu sent a beautiful cross from his own half all the way behind defense to Abdallah Sima. He shot to the left side of the goal and goalkeeper Le Giang could not reach it.

The game slowed down after the first goal. Both sides had opportunities to score but the biggest came in 43rd minute. Former Slavia player Tomáš Necid got to the penalty area and faced the goalkeeper in a one on one situation. But before he shot, Jan Bořil returned and Necid lost the ball.

The second half started by Slavia putting the pressure on the opposition defence which ended with Nico Stanciu’s nice half-volley that missed the goal by a small margin. Bohemians responded a few minutes later when Hronek was given space in midfield and fired from mid-range but Kolář saved the shot.

After this, no chance occured in the game until the 66th minute. Jan Kuchta stole the ball from defenders, passed it to Sima and he sent it trough the defence to Lukáš Provod. He lobbed the goalkeeper and doubled Slavia’s lead.

But Bohemians did not wait long with their answer. Just a few minutes after Slavia’s goal Vaníček crossed the ball from the left wing into into the penalty area to Hronek who headed it into the net.

Slavia was able to held its lead and win the game 2-1. The Red-whites will play their next match on 23rd December away against Viktoria Pilsen.
