Beware of fraudulent tickets for the Servette FC match!
Scammers and scalpers are again taking advantage of the situation where the last group stage match of the Europa League against Servette FC is sold out. They attempt to sell overpriced or fake tickets to fans, sometimes even selling the same ticket to multiple people. Before the matches against Sparta, Plzeň, and AS Roma, the situation was extreme, and we recorded the highest number of fake or duplicate tickets. Now, the situation is repeating itself, and we have decided to publish the appearance of one fake ticket as a warning, so that multiple fans don´t purchase it.
Before sold-out matches, dozens of fans contact the ticketing department via email and the club´s Facebook messages every day, inquiring whether the ticket offered by a third party for purchase is genuine. Unfortunately, it is beyond our capacity to verify each individual ticket, and confirmation of authenticity does not solve the problem for the fan. There is never a certainty that a scammer won´t sell the same ticket to another twenty people, of whom only one will pass through the turnstiles. Before the match against AS Roma, dozens of fans found themselves victims of scammers even before the game, as they sent money for the ticket to an account, and the seller did not respond. Additional dozens of fans did not pass through the turnstiles, either because they had tickets with a fake QR code or duplicate tickets. For one specific fake ticket, we recorded over ten deceived fans.
The club´s active fight against scalpers
We have also noted cases where tickets, at prices much higher than those in pre-sale, were offered via auction by permanent ticket holders. Upon identifying the identity of such sellers, we proceeded to block the permanent ticket for the rest of the season and revoke the pre-emptive right to a season ticket for the next year. We are prepared to repeat this procedure in all cases where we discover that permanent ticket holders are selling tickets at prices higher than they bought them for. However, permanent ticket holders make up only a minority of the total number of scalpers, most of whom are not our permanent ticket holders and offer entirely fake tickets.
We have uncovered cases where QR codes from a permanent ticket were misused. We warn fans not to share QR codes and permanent ticket numbers publicly to prevent similar misuse. If you suspect that data may have been leaked, have your permanent ticket blocked and request the issuance of a duplicate.
What is the club´s recommendation for ticket purchases?
You should remember that the only guaranteed ticket sales channel for Slavia is the SLAVIA app and the Ticketportal website. If you buy tickets on other platforms or directly from individuals, you expose yourself to the risk of purchasing either a fake or a resold ticket. If you discover that a permanent ticket holder has deceived you, inform us immediately at slavia@slavia.cz. We can take appropriate measures against these permanent ticket holders. In any case, if you were deceived in purchasing a ticket, and your ticket turns out to be invalid, you should contact the nearest police station with a report of suspicion of a criminal offense. In this regard, it is only recommended that you keep electronic communication with the person from whom you purchased the tickets for investigative purposes. Only in this way can we collectively fight against fraudulent ticket sales.
